SB 6203 (aka. the Governor's carbon tax bill) just passed out of committee. WATCH HERE. This is the first carbon tax bill to make it out of committee in the 2018 session. You can expect intense negotiations, but there is still time to contact your legislators. (Contact info for 23rd District here.)
Check out this carbon tax matrix for a quick comparison of the three Carbon Tax Bills in the Senate. It's important to demonstrate strong support for carbon taxes, so legislators are compelled to act this session, which ends March 9th.
If your senator voted "yes" in the committee hearing, please thank them.
If they voted "no" you can politely encourage them to vote "yes" on a carbon tax when it gets to the floor
You can find current information, including the date for a floor vote here for SB 6203.
Please take a moment and email the entire Seattle City Council at email@example.com and thank them for taking up the No LNG resolution. Ask them to respect the Puyallup Tribe’s treaty rights and protect the Salish Sea by passing the resolution expeditiously.
